The Opt-In

01 — Project Details

Listen. Connect. Do Better.

Giving a name to a podcast-turned-movement.

Agency: TPD Design House

Scope: Naming, Brand Messaging, Voice Guidelines

The Opt-In is a podcast founded by Aurora Archer and Kelly Croce Sorg, two women who sought a platform to talk race, inequity, and other topics some may opt out of discussing.

The pair had big plans, but a bigger hitch: they couldn’t settle on a name.

Inspired by the podcast’s mission, I developed the name The Opt-In, describing the idea of “opting in” to confront difficult topics.

02 — Brand Story

For many women, dialogue around today’s most complicated topics is seen as a choice — not a lived reality. Aurora and Kelly are two socially, generationally, and ethnically divergent besties who seek truth through open and, at times, uneasy conversations.

The Opt-In showcases an honest and messy friendship in the hopes of bridging the gap, popping our respective bubbles, and joining the conversation — even when it gets uncomfortable.

Since its launch in 2019, The Opt-In has evolved into a cultural strategy firm that aids corporate spaces in implementing — and sustaining — DE&I efforts.
